Robert Fitzroy Academy
+ Info
Located within the urban residential area of Croydon, this phased school development consisted of a major refurbishment contained largely within the footprint of the existing school buildings.
The development included hard and soft play areas and planting areas – both native and ornamental. Aiming to reinforce and enhance the limited bio-diversity of the existing landscape, the development sought to enhance the existing tree cover with additional native planting.
The soft landscape design strategy reinforces existing boundary trees and hedge lines with native trees and understorey shrub planting areas, ornamental flowering shrub with accent planting areas, and feature raised planters.
